The UV dryers can be used for a wide field of applications such as:
- Surface drying / drying of painted or printed objects
- Hardening of bonded parts (UV-sensitive adhesive)
- Polymerisation of UV-sensitive plastics
- Connection of UV-sensitive silicones
- Surface sterilization
The low-pressure lamps, used in this appliances, have the large advantage that the operating temperature reaches only around 40°C. In comparison to high-pressure lamps, with a operating temperature of around 800°C. No cooling devices are necessary and the to be treated goods can be put very close to the lamps.
By the use of low-pressure lamps, the energy consumption is very small, which lowers the operating cost a lot.
The belt speed can be regulated continuously from 0 – about 6 m/min, so that the radiation time can be optimised. Motor and lamps can be switched separately.
The system has a modular structure, so that different lamp types with various wave lengths can be installed, all of one wave length or mixed, depending on the application.
To obtain the best result, the distance between the lamps shall be kept as small as possible. This can be easily achieved by an adjustable working height.
A lamp failure can be identified by a visual check of the lamps.
